Adult Counselling
Sometimes life asks more of us than we can carry alone. Counselling offers a steady, confidential space to slow down, make sense of what you're going through, and feel less alone with it all.
I work in a person-centred way, which means I follow your lead and trust that you know your own life best. There's no script and no rush; together we make sense of what you're carrying, at the pace that feels right for you.
What brings people in
People reach out for all kinds of reasons. Counselling can gently support you with:
What change can look like
Counselling rarely changes everything at once. More often it's a gradual loosening: things that felt tangled begin to make sense, and you find a little more room to breathe.

Lighter to carry
What once felt overwhelming becomes something you can hold, name, and think about more clearly.

Steadier footing
Anxious or low days grow less frequent, and you recover from the hard ones more quickly.

Kinder to yourself
The harsh inner voice softens, making room for more self-compassion and a little more ease.

Clearer about what matters
You reconnect with what's important to you and feel more able to act in line with it.

Less alone
Whatever you're facing, you no longer have to face it on your own.

More like yourself
Bit by bit, a life that had stopped feeling like yours starts to feel like home again.
There's no single finish line, and no one right pace. What stays the same is the direction: toward a life that feels more settled, more meaningful, and more your own.
How the work unfolds
A first conversation
We begin with a conversation about what's brought you here and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to share more than feels comfortable; this first hour is simply a chance to get a sense of one another and of how we might work together.
Settling into the work
Over the early sessions we get a feel for what's most pressing and how you'd like to use the time. Together we shape a way of working that fits you, rather than fitting you into a method.
Walking it through together
Session by session, we make sense of what you're carrying, notice the patterns underneath it, and gently work toward the changes you want. You set the direction; I walk alongside you, at a pace that's yours.
